Granyn Privacy Policy
This privacy policy explains how the mobile application Granyn: Smart Budget Tracker (hereinafter "Granyn" or "the app") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data belonging to its users.

2. Data Collected
2.1 Automatically Collected Data (sent to our servers)
- Anonymous device identifiers (Firebase Analytics anonymous ID)
- Advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID — user-resettable)
- Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics — sent automatically when an error occurs)
- Anonymous usage statistics (which screens are visited, which features are used)
- Anonymous Firebase Auth ID for premium entitlement management (cross-device subscription sync)
2.2 Data Processed Locally (Never Leaves the Device)
Because Granyn is a financial app, your most sensitive data never leaves your device:
- Transactions: Income/expense records, amounts, categories, notes — stored on device only.
- Budgets: Category limits and total monthly budgets — on device only.
- Receipt images: Receipts you scan are stored in the app's private storage on your device and never uploaded.
- OCR (receipt reading): Runs entirely on-device using Google ML Kit. Receipt content is never sent to the cloud.
- Category assignments, OCR confidence scores, user edits: Stay on the device.
2.3 Optional Cloud Backup
Premium users can opt into cloud backup via Google Drive. When the user explicitly enables this, encrypted data is backed up to the user's own Google Drive account. Granyn does not store your financial data on its servers.
3. Purpose of Use
- Providing app functionality (storing transactions, budgets, and receipts on device; managing premium subscription)
- Crash reporting and performance improvement
- Personalized ad display (free users only, via AdMob)
- Anonymous usage statistics for product development
- Cross-device premium entitlement sync
4. Third-Party Services
The following Google services are used:
- Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Auth, Firestore, Messaging, Remote Config) — Privacy policy
- Google AdMob (banner, interstitial, rewarded ads) — Privacy policy
- Google Play Billing (premium subscription) — Privacy policy
- Google ML Kit (on-device OCR, no data sent to cloud) — Terms
No other third-party services (analytics, social SDKs, attribution services, etc.) are used.
5. Advertising
The free tier of Granyn shows ads via Google AdMob. These ads may be personalized based on user interests. You can disable personalization in your device settings: Settings → Google → Ads → Reset advertising ID.
By purchasing a Premium subscription you can remove all ads.
6. Permissions
- Camera: Receipt scanning. Image stays on device.
- Notifications: Budget alerts, daily reminders, insight notifications.
- Internet: Premium verification, ads, optional cloud backup.
7. Data Security
- All internet traffic is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS
- Your financial data (transactions, budgets, receipts) never leaves your device
- Premium payments are handled by Google Play; no card data reaches Granyn
- Anonymous analytics data is auto-deleted after 14 months (Firebase Analytics retention policy)
8. User Rights (KVKK / GDPR)
Under KVKK Article 11 and GDPR Articles 15–22, you have the right to:
- Know whether your data is being processed
- Access your data
- Request correction, deletion, or restriction of processing
- Object to automated decision-making
- Data portability
Since all your financial data is stored on your device, you can permanently delete everything in a single tap via Settings → Danger zone → Delete all data. For deletion requests regarding anonymous analytics data, please contact appsmfk@gmail.com.
9. Children's Privacy
Granyn does not knowingly collect data from users under 13. If you are under 13, please do not use the app.
10. Changes
We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy. Material changes will be announced via in-app notification. The current version is always published on this page.
