Subly Privacy Policy
This privacy policy explains how the mobile application Subly: Subscription Tracker (hereinafter "Subly" or "the app") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data belonging to its users.

2. Data Collected
2.1 Automatically Collected Data (sent to our servers)
- Anonymous device identifiers (Firebase Analytics anonymous ID)
- Advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID — user-resettable)
- Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics — sent automatically when an error occurs)
- Anonymous usage statistics (which screens are visited, which features are used)
- Remote configuration (Firebase Remote Config — anonymous segmentation for paywall and feature experiments)
2.2 Data Processed Locally (Never Leaves the Device)
Subly is privacy-first and never links to your bank account; your subscription data never leaves your device:
- Subscription records: Service name, amount, currency, billing frequency, next renewal date, category, and notes — stored on device only.
- Reminder settings: Timing and preferences for renewal reminders — on device only.
- Preferences and settings: Default currency, theme, and app settings — on device only (local database and preference store).
Subly does not require you to create an account; your name, email, or location is not collected. Subly never connects to your bank or card accounts.
2.3 Bill Scanning (Camera)
Subly lets you point your camera at a bill or receipt to automatically extract subscription details (service name, amount, frequency, next date). This is performed locally on your device: the captured image is converted to text, the relevant details are extracted, and the result is stored only on your device. The bill image you capture is not uploaded to our servers and is not retained after processing. Camera access is used only when you start a scan.
3. Purpose of Use
- Providing app functionality (managing subscriptions, reminders, and your monthly total on device)
- Crash reporting and performance improvement
- Ad display (free users only, via AdMob)
- Anonymous usage statistics for product development
- Managing premium pricing and feature experiments (Remote Config)
4. Third-Party Services
The following Google services are used:
- Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config) — Privacy policy
- Google AdMob (banner, interstitial, rewarded ads) — Privacy policy
- Google Play Billing (premium subscription) — Privacy policy
Subly does not connect to any bank, financial institution, or account-aggregation service, and uses no other third-party services (social SDKs, attribution services, etc.).
5. Advertising & Consent (UMP)
The free tier of Subly shows ads via Google AdMob. Users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK, and Switzerland are shown a consent screen via Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP), and ad personalization follows that choice.
You can also disable personalization in your device settings: Settings → Google → Ads → Reset advertising ID. By purchasing a Premium subscription you can remove all ads.
6. Permissions
- Camera: To scan a bill/receipt and extract subscription details on device (only when you start a scan).
- Notifications: Subscription renewal reminders.
- Internet: Ads, premium verification, and anonymous analytics/configuration.
- Vibration: Haptic feedback on button taps.
7. Data Security
- All internet traffic is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS
- Your subscription data (services, amounts, dates, settings) and any bill images you scan never leave your device
- Premium payments are handled by Google Play; no card data reaches Subly
- Anonymous analytics data is auto-deleted after 14 months (Firebase Analytics retention policy)
8. User Rights (KVKK / GDPR)
Under KVKK Article 11 and GDPR Articles 15–22, you have the right to:
- Know whether your data is being processed
- Access your data
- Request correction, deletion, or restriction of processing
- Object to automated decision-making
- Data portability
Since all your subscription data is stored on your device, you can permanently delete everything in a single tap via Settings → Data → Delete all data. For deletion requests regarding anonymous analytics data, please contact help@appsmfk.com.
9. Children's Privacy
Subly does not knowingly collect data from users under 13. If you are under 13, please do not use the app.
10. About Financial Data
Subly is a personal subscription-tracking tool; it does not provide financial, investment, or tax advice. The subscription amounts you enter or scan are processed solely on your device for tracking. Subly does not connect to bank accounts, does not make payments, and does not collect card data.
11. Changes
We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy. Material changes will be announced via in-app notification. The current version is always published on this page.
