CV Lounge Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains how user data is handled in the Android and iOS versions of CV Lounge — a resume builder (listed in the stores as "Free CV Lounge" / "CV LOUNGE: Resume Builder"; hereinafter "CV Lounge" or "the app").

The short version

Your resume stays on your device. There is no account and we run no server; nothing you write in your CV reaches us. The app does no tracking and collects no data.

2. Data Collected

2.1 Data Stored Locally (never leaves your device)

  • Your resume content: name, contact details, experience, education, skills and the other fields you fill in
  • The profile photo you add to your CV
  • Your saved CVs, chosen template, accent color and language
  • A local record of the premium templates you have unlocked

All of this is stored only on your device. It is not sent to our servers and not shared with third parties. It is deleted when you uninstall the app.

2.2 Profile Photo

When you add a photo, the system photo picker opens and the app receives only the single image you choose; it does not ask for access to your photo library. The image is processed on the device and is not uploaded anywhere.

2.3 Data Automatically Collected by Third Parties

None. CV Lounge does not use Firebase, analytics, crash reporting or any other tracking SDK, and no data is collected automatically.

3. Purpose of Use

  • Building your resume, storing it on the device and exporting it as a PDF
  • Managing the optional Premium subscription and purchases

4. Third-Party Services

  • Apple App Store (Premium monthly, yearly and lifetime purchases via Apple in-app purchase)
  • Google Play / Apple App Store (the in-app rating prompt, shown by the store)

No other third-party service is used. The app has no account; payment for Premium is handled by Apple.

5. Permissions

  • Internet: Only for Premium purchases through the store. Your CV data is never transmitted over the internet.

CV Lounge does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts, notification or photo library access.

6. Data Security

  • Your resume never leaves your device; its security depends on the security of your device
  • When you export your CV as a PDF, the file is saved to the location you choose or shared with the app you choose
  • If you have turned on device backup on Android, app data may be included in the backup in your own Google account

7. Your Rights (KVKK / GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know whether your data is processed, and to access, correct, delete or object to its processing. Because your resume data exists only on your device, you exercise these rights directly yourself. For other requests, write to us.

8. Deleting Your Data

You can delete saved CVs one by one inside the app. Uninstalling the app deletes all CV Lounge data stored on the device. PDF files you have exported stay where you saved them; you need to delete those separately.

9. Children's Privacy

CV Lounge is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes

This policy may be updated from time to time. The current version is always published on this page; the effective date reflects the latest version.
